Microsoft & Web 2.0

I have been using the Microsoft Fishbowl technology preview program since PDC 2009, and it pains me that Microsoft doesn’t have more products like this as part of its portfolio.

Why, for example, doesn't Microsoft have an app like this for Twitter?

Better yet, couldn’t (shouldn’t?) Fishbowl be extended to serve as a frontend for both Twitter and Facebook?

One of the most infuriating things these past few days has been the crescendo of props for the Bing for iPhone app, which, by all indications, is a gem.

Erhh, what about Bing for Windows Mobile/Windows Phone?

That product is a dog, and judging by the ink the iPhone Bing is getting, you’ve got to appreciate the pragmatism of the Bing team for putting their best dev feet forward in developing the iPhone app: that’s where the money is.

Can I call “Shame on Microsoft” for the current state of Windows Mobile?

Come on Microsoft! Step up to the plate!
